Students will study Soteriology in order to deepen their understanding of the finished work of Christ.   


The Christian Walk: June 5 – 9 (1 sem. hr.), Rev. Ron Graham, RPCNA Pastor (retired); M. Div., Reformed Presbyterian Theological Seminary; B.A. Geneva College.    

The Christian’s union to Jesus Christ, Glorying in His Cross, Fellowship with His Church and walking in the Spirit are foundational aspects of the Christian faith. Without a focus on these foundational principles a seminary education may be counterproductive.


Doctrine of the Church: June12 – 16 (1 sem. hr.) Rev. Matthew Sexton, Pastor, Quinter Reformed Presbyterian Church.; M.Litt., University of Glasgow; M.Div., Sangre de Cristo Seminary; B.S., Colorado State Univ.

This course in ecclesiology is a systematic study of the Biblical teachings concerning the Church.


Doctrine of the Sacraments: June 19 –  23 (1 sem. hr.) Rev. Matthew Sexton, See credentials above.

The Biblical and historical teaching of the meaning, means and recipients of the sacraments will be studied.


Church History III: June 26 –  July 7 (2 sem. hrs.) Rev. Dr. Anthony J. Felich. Senior Pastor, Redeemer Presbyterian Church (PCA), Overland Park, KS; D.Arts, Whitefield Theological Seminary, M.Div., Covenant Theological Seminary, B.A., Moody Bible Institute, D.Min. Candidate Midwestern Baptist Seminary. Ordained Teaching Elder, PCA 1998.

The history of the church will be studied from the Protestant Reformation through to the Modern Church.


Pastoral Duties I: July 10 – 14 (1 sem. hr.) Dr. Tony Felich, See credentials above,

The pastoral responsibilities such as weddings, funerals and visitation, will be studied and practiced.


Apologetics: July 17 – 28 (2 sem. hrs.) Dr. Mark House, Registrar and Professor of Biblical Studies, New Geneva Theological Seminary; Ph.D., Fuller Theological Seminary; M. Div., Westminster Theological Seminary; B.A. Biola University. Former Academic editor for Hendrickson Publishers; 25 years of pastoral experience; Bible College instructor in Ukraine.

Students will be introduced to the History of  the discipline of defending the Christian Faith.


Pastoral Duties II: July 31 – August 4 (1 sem. hr.) Rev. Philip S. Kruis, Pastor, Rincon Mountain Presbyterian Church, Tucson, AZ; Board Member, Providence College; M. Div. and Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy, Reformed Theological Seminary; B.A., Dordt College.  

The pastoral administrative responsibilities common to pastors in overseeing the office and business aspects of the local church will be introduced.


Biblical Ethics: August 7 – 18  (2 sem. hr.)   Rev. Randy C. Martin, Pastor, Covenant Presbyterian Church, PCA; Biblical Studies Department Chair, Instructor in Ethics, Bakersfield Christian High School; M. Div., Covenant Theological Seminary; B.A. UCLA; Apologist and Writer.                                        

A study of the Biblical standards for personal and social behavior.


Church Music: August 21-25 (1 sem. hr.) Rev. Jeff Pate,

A Biblical and historical study of music, and the pastor’s responsibility for music in the worship ministry of the church.


Ephesians: June 3-August 23 (1 sem.hr.) Rev. Benjamin  T. Parmer, Dean of Students, Sangre de Cristo Seminary; Director of Operations, International Xchange Org.; Teaching Elder, Evangelical Presbyterian Church; Ministered in Puerto Rico and East Asia; Campus Outreach Ministry, Univ. or Central Florida.                                                

This is a weekly exegetical study of Ephesians with application for today.


Public Worship: May 31-August 27 (1 sem. hr.) Dr. Andrew S. Zeller, President, Sangre de Cristo Seminary; D. Min., Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary; Th..M. Covenant Theological Seminary; M. Div., Sangre de Cristo Seminary; B.A., Covenant College; Pastor, Army Chaplain.

This course exposes the student to different models of worship practiced by the summer instructors.

Fall Semester

September 4 – December 8

Essentials of New Testament Greek: (10 sem. hrs.) Rev. Benjamin T. Parmer. See credentials above.

Students will learn the basics of New Testament Greek grammar and syntax and begin to translate and study the New Testament form the Greek.


New Testament Survey: (2 sem. hrs.) Dr. Andrew S. Zeller.                       

In this course students will read the whole New Testament and will cover the background, themes and purposes of each book.


Applied Exegesis: (2 sem. hrs.) Dr. Andrew S. Zeller.

This course trains the students to follow a logical process in preparing sermons and Bible lessons. This was formerly called The Exegetical, Hermeneutical, Homiletical Process.


Greek  Exegesis: (2 sem. hrs.) Prerequisite: N.T. Greek, Dr. Dwight Zeller

Detailed studies of Old Testament passages will be made from Greek texts.


Hebrew Exegesis: (2 sem. hrs.) Prerequisite: O.T. Hebrew, Dr. Dwight Zeller

Greek and Hebrew Seminar: (2 sem. hrs. each); Prerequisites: O.T. Hebrew and N.T. Greek; Dr. Dwight Zeller.

Seniors will prepare and teach sections of New and Old Testament passages and will present oral reports.


Teaching, Preaching, Worship Seminar: (2 sem. hrs.) Dr. Andrew S. Zeller, facilitator

Students will be supervised and evaluated in their teaching Bible lessons, leading worship and preaching.
