This is an exposition of the doctrine of the Scriptures with special attention given to divine inspiration and Biblical inerrancy.

 

Doctrine of Man: June 11 – 15 (1 sem. hr.) Rev. Randy C. Martin,  See credentials above.

This is a systematic study of man’s origin as a covenant creature and covenant breaker, his need of salvation, his redemptive state and future glorification.

 

Doctrine of God: June 18 – 22 (1 sem. hr.) Dr. Louis Hill, President, Reformed Discipleship Ministries; Adjunct Professor of Spiritual Life and Theology, New Geneva Theological Seminary; D. Min., M.A.T.S., Reformed Theo. Sem.;  M.Ed., Auburn Univ., B.A., Samford University. Conference Speaker, director of Navigator’s small town and rural network.

An examination of theology proper, God’s nature, existence, attributes, decrees, creation and providence will be presented.

 

Church History: June 25 – July 6 (2 sem. hrs.) Dr. Tony Felich, Senior Pastor, Redeemer Presbyterian Church  (PCA), Overland park, KS; D. Arts, Whitefield Theological Seminary; M. Div. Covenant Theological Seminary; B.A. Moody Bible Institute; D. Min. Candidate,  Midwestern Baptist Seminary; Soccer Coach and Hunter.

In this course the history of the church will be studied from New Testament times to the Sixth Century.

 

Old Testament Theology: July 9 – 20 (2 sem. hrs.) Dr. Dwight F. Zeller, Director Emeritus, Sangre de Cristo Seminary; D. Min., Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary; Th. M. Chicago Graduate School of Theology; M. Div., Memphis Theological Seminary; B. A., Bob Jones University. Pastor and Navy Chaplain.

This is a progressive study of theology as it is presented in the Old Testament with a focus on God’s Covenants.

 

Comparative Biblical Theologies: July 23 – 27 (1 sem. hr.) Dr. Dominic A. Aquilla, President and Professor of Pastoral Ministry, New Geneva Theological Seminary; D.Min., Westminster Theological Seminary; M.Div., Reformed Theological Seminary; B.A., Belhaven College. A prominent leader in the PCA; Pastor.

This course will compare the differences beween various contemporary Biblical issues such as theonomy, dispensationalism, covenantalism, views of creation and the charismatic movement.

 

Missions: July 30 – August 3 (1 sem. hr.); Rev. Benjamin  T. Parmer, Dean of Students, Sangre de Cristo Seminary, Director of Operations, International Xchange Org.; Teaching Elder, Evangelical Presbyterian Church; Missionary to Puerto Rico and Asia; Campus Outreach Ministry, Univ. of Central Florida.

This course will consider the purpose, philosophy, methods and history of Christian missions.

This course considers the background and setting of the New Testament along with its transmission, manuscripts, canonicity and translation.

 

Pastoral Counseling: August 20 – 31 (2 sem. hrs.) Dr. Andrew S. Zeller, President, Sangre de Cristo Seminary; Min., Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary; Th. M. Covenant Theological Seminary; M. This is an introduction to providing pastoral counseling in light of Biblical principles.

This is a weekly exegetical study of Paul’s Epistle to the Galatians with application for today.

 

Public Worship: June 6 – August 29 (1 sem. hr.) Dr. Andrew S. Zeller, see cridentials above.

This is a time of sincere worship followed by a discussion. The students are exposed to different models of worship practiced by the instructors.

Essentials of Old Testament Hebrew: (10 sem. hrs.) Dr. Andrew S. Zeller, President, Sangre de Cristo Seminary; Min., Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary; Th. M. Covenant Theological Seminary; M. Div., Sangre de Cristo Seminary; B.A. Covenant College; CPE Advanced Status; Pastor, Army Reserve Chaplain (COL) Ret.

Students will learn the basics of New Testament Greek grammar and syntax and begin to translate and study the New Testament form the Greek.

 

Pentateuch and Historical Books Survey: (2 sem. hrs.) Rev. Benjamin  T. Parmer, Dean of Students, Sangre de Cristo Seminary, Director of Operations, International Xchange Org.; Teaching Elder, Evangelical Presbyterian Church; Missionary to Puerto Rico and Asia; Campus Outreach Ministry, Univ. of Central Florida.

This course will cover the background, development and  purpose of the Books from Genesis through II Samuel.

 

Hermeneutics: (2 sem. hrs.) Dr. Andrew S. Zeller.

This course explores the principles of Biblical interpretation and how these principles are used.

 

Teaching, Preaching, Worship Seminar: (2 sem. hrs.) Rev. Benjamin Parmer.

Students will be supervised and evaluated in teaching Bible lessons, leading worship and preaching.

Greek Exegesis: (2 sem. hrs.) Prerequisite: N.T. Greek. Dr. Dwight F. Zeller,  Director Emeritus, Sangre de Cristo Seminary; D. Min., Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary; Th. M. Chicago Graduate School of Theology; M. Div., Memphis Theological Seminary; B. A., Bob Jones University. Pastor and Navy Chaplain (CDR) Ret.

Detailed studies of New Testament passages will be made from the Greek Text.

 

Hebrew Exegesis: (2 sem. hrs.) Prerequisite: O.T. Hebrew. Dr. Dwight F. Zeller.

Detailed studies of Old Testament passages will be made from the Hebrew Text.

 

Greek and Hebrew Seminar: (2 sem. hrs. each)  Prerequisite: O.T. Hebrew and N.T. Greek. Dr. Dwight F. Zeller.

Seniors will prepare and teach sections of New and Old Testament passages and will give written and oral exegetical reports.

Fall Semester

New Testament Survey: (2 sem. hrs.) Dr. Andrew S. Zeller.                       

In this course students will read the whole New Testament and will cover the background, themes and purposes of each book.


Applied Exegesis: (2 sem. hrs.) Dr. Andrew S. Zeller.

This course trains the students to follow a logical process in preparing sermons and Bible lessons. This was formerly called The Exegetical, Hermeneutical, Homiletical Process.


Greek  Exegesis: (2 sem. hrs.) Prerequisite: N.T. Greek, Dr. Dwight Zeller

Detailed studies of Old Testament passages will be made from Greek texts.


Hebrew Exegesis: (2 sem. hrs.) Prerequisite: O.T. Hebrew, Dr. Dwight Zeller
